Village Hall Update

Some of you may be aware that there have been a few recent changes to the village hall trustees with Trish and Ad Collie, handing over the reins to Sam Needler (Chair), Jo Needler, Elisabeth Nickless (Treasurer), Jo Dale and Claire Buchanan (secretary) . A big thanks must go to Trish and Ad for their work over the years.
The immediate priorities for the hall are to update the trust document which is 60 years old and then we can open a bank account…. unfortunately, we have been de-banked! Once these are completed, we will then turn our attention to maintenance and general improvements.
Our appreciation must go to all those that have organised and supported the recent coffee mornings. They have been really successful and raised much needed funds! It’s also great to see the hall being used for the benefit of villagers. We will be organising more exciting fundraisers in the future and hoping the coffee mornings continue as we will need to fundraise to pay for the upkeep of the hall and action the much-needed updates.
Thanks to all who have already come forward to offer practical help and support, but more is needed. Many hands make light work, and we would welcome more offers of help. Please get in touch with one of us! Best wishes
