This afternoon, about 1900 there was a knock at my door in Edith Weston, I answered and there was a young lad who claimed to be epileptic and handed me a faded old laminated pass that looked like some form of ID. He claimed my neighbour gave him a shammy cloth and spray but never specified what he wanted. I told him I couldn’t help and he thanked me and left. I then looked out the window to see where he went (heard of similar scams before) and noticed a car driving down the close full of other men. Whilst the lad looked innocent enough the car aroused my suspicions and I checked it out online and it came back as no tax and no insurance. Why would a young lad go door to door unannounced and be followed by a car full of men, maybe one to support but not a full car, untaxed and uninsured!!!
Look out for a dark red Vauxhall ZAFIRA 53 plate.
Maybe nothing but worth watching out for.
