Old pound coins cease being legal tender on 15th October.  No shops will accept them after that date, nor will banks.

Please remember this when paying for your eggs at the egg farm where we understand people are still leaving old five-pound notes in payment and it could just as easily be Monopoly Money because it has no value.

Everyone in the village and all our friends love the quality and freshness of the eggs so please think before you pay and ensure it is in legal tender.
