Latest Loros newsletter and your chance to win £10,000 for Christmas
E-News October 2015
Hello! Wow, what a fantastically busy couple of months we have had at LOROS.
In September we launched our 30 for 30 campaign as part of our 30th birthday celebrations and with your help we managed to raise more than £10,000 for the Hospice. Shortly after we enjoyed a jam-packed Hospice Care Week, which included LOROS Patron and Leicester City ambassador Alan ‘Birch’ Birchenall and Filbert the Fox paying a visit to the Hospice, along with a 12-hour Tweetathon, a hugely successful Yellow Day and a wheelchair push through Leicester city. And of course throughout October, we have been encouraging you to ‘don your frocks’ for Frocktober – with people given the chance to get their hands on some of our designer clothes at our Frock and Fizz event. The month was topped off with the annual Leicester Marathon – thousands of people ran the route, with dozens of people fundraising for LOROS. An almighty thank you to everyone who has raised money for LOROS, as well as all of those who have volunteered at any of our events – we couldn’t have done it without you!
“Light Up A Life is magical. I like to look up at the lights on the tree and know that one of those if for my mum.”
Lucy Gregson-Green first came to Light Up A Life last year, after her mum, Linda died at LOROS.
Find out why the event gives Lucy and so many others the space and time to think about their loved ones over the festive period.
This year’s Light Up A Life will take place on Sunday 6th December at LOROS Hospice.
Everyone is welcome, even if your loved one didn’t die at LOROS, this is a chance for anyone to remember that special person over Christmas.
YOUR CHANCE TO WIN MORE THAN £10,000!
Imagine winning £10,030 cash to spend on anything you like – a holiday, a deposit for a house, or even treating yourself to that much-needed shopping spree. Well now you don’t have to imagine because £10,030 could be yours!
