Amanda Steele is organising the last of the bulb planting for the Parish Council three year scheme.
Two years of bulb planting has been responded to enthusiastically and we hope this year will be no exception most particularly because it is in Springtime rather than winter. It will still be what is known as planting in the green.
Some of the verges and all of the finger posts have been planted by volunteers for the last two years. The crocus is the last of the bulbs to join them.
Amanda is looking for willing volunteers to assist. No doubt you have noticed the snowdrops planted last year are showing their heads and very lovely they look too. This will add a little more colour so if you are willing to help please contact Amanda in the first week of March so she can add your name to the work party.
With plenty of help it normally takes an hour or two for each of us so is not an arduous undertaking.
You can find Amanda’s contact details on the Belton News email which accompanies this article.
