The first of the Parish Council meetings for the year of 2018 will be on 15th January at the village hall starting at 7.30 pm
The agenda will be posted next week.
One of the items on the agenda will be grit bins. We are all aware of the recent difficulties experienced by people from all over the village during the ice and snow conditions. Rutland County Council is responsible for the Highways, not Belton in Rutland Parish Council.
RCC grit the bus route only leaving villagers to personally grit the highway, should they wish, from the grit bins provided. If you wish to understand the finances of this RCC have historically paid for the first fill BUT all subsequent fills are paid for by the Parish Council on behalf of the village although this may change.
At this meeting, the Parish Council will be looking at the existing grit bins and their position and use.
