M1 roadworks amendment

PROGRAMME AMENDMENT
M1 Junction 23 to Junction 23a
I am writing to let you know that due to unforeseen circumstances, we are having to change the currently publicised northbound motorway closures for Friday 18th October to Sunday 20th October nights. We will not be working on the northbound carriageway as per our messages displayed on advance warning signs.
We will be continuing work on the southbound carriageway up to and including the night of Sunday 20th October. Work will commence on the northbound carriage way on the evening of Monday 21st October.
During this time we will work:
- between 9pm and 5am (northbound carriageway)
- between 10pm and 6am (southbound carriageway)
Please note that all our planned roadworks may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
The M1 will be closed between junction 23 and junction 23a whilst we work. However, we will only close one carriageway at a time.
Both carriageways will be open as usual outside our working hours.
During our road closures we will put in place fully signed diversion routes.
We politely ask all heavy vehicles to follow the signed M1 diversion route, which will help minimise overnight disturbance experienced by communities in the surrounding area.
