The Pre-school is having to start locking its gates during non-opening hours due to its public liability insurance. This has been a request from the diocese who is liable if there were to ever be an accident on the property. Therefore we request you please don’t use the grounds in non-opening hours for this reason. Sadly this is now the world in which we live.
We know the parking space is a really useful facility for the village, if there are events or large family gatherings and space is needed for extra cars. The Diocese is happy for us to continue to offer this with prior arrangement, by ringing 01572 718744 or emailing [email protected] the Pre-school directly and arranging this with the manager Kathryn.
For those of you that don’t know, we have been under new management at the Pre-school for a year now & have made some positive changes & our intake has improved greatly for the first time in years. There is a real lack of early years facilities this side of Rutland and we have an opportunity to create an amazing Pre-school here in the village. Our facilities are getting tired and as a Pre-school we are not able to facilitate the needs of families in the local community fully. As a charity, we lack the ability to inject money into projects without a lot of fundraising. We will be holding fundraising events & it would be wonderful if you could come & support us. There will be a bake sale on the Uppingham market square this Saturday 21st September and we are holding a Christmas market in the church rooms also at Uppingham market square on the 23rd November.
We would also love to hear from anyone that could assist us to start us on our improvement journey. Is anyone out there an architect or a builder that can give us some advice and quotes so we have a financial target to work towards. We would be incredibly grateful for any help in this area.
