The latest update from The Secret Garden on Thursday 29th April 2015
Even though we had a low turn out, the Race Night proved to be a great evening raising over £700. A huge thank you for your generosity.
Thank you to all the volunteers who came last Sunday to help with garden maintenance. If anyone has been up to the secret garden this week they will have seen that lots of progress has been made.
Mowing rota, general maintenance and donations
Another thank you to those who have offered to go on the mowing rota, to undertake maintenance jobs or have given donations. We really appreciate your support.
We have 5 peoples on the Committee at the moment and we are always looking for more members. We are particularly looking for a secretary to record the minutes from our meetings.
So, thanks again to all those who have offered support so far – please get in touch if you would like to get involved. Many hands make light work!

Be a part of the best kept secret.
We are sure you would agree that the Secret garden is a great village resource.
It is maintained by a small committee of volunteers who give up their valuable free time to organise fundraisers, cut grass, do garden tidies, fix equipment and generally make the area a place that our families and friends can all enjoy.
However with our current resources, we are struggling to maintain the facilities to a high standard.
Our task has been made more difficult recently as equipment has been purposely damaged. This is very disappointing for all involved. If children are attending unsupervised please ensure they are aware of appropriate behaviour.
We have lots of ideas for how we can improve the space and make it work better for the village but resource is required to make this happen.
How you can help:
We are a small village which is known for being family friendly and having a solid community spirit.
It would be great to see a show of support for the secret garden.

Suggestion for ways to improve the area always welcome
